I just watched a Chinese documentary on martial arts films. I saw a clip of the interview during which Bruce Lee remarked, "Be formless, shapeless, like water... You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup, you put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle, you put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot... Now water can flow, or it can crash, be water my friend." I think I had read the quote somewhere before, but hearing the way he says this makes it all that more memorable. Why did people in the 70s talk that way? It's so melodramatic that I'm not sure if he's serious or not.
